Logo spacing requirements

Ensuring proper spacing around our brand logo is paramount to maintaining its visual integrity and impact. The clear space or minimum margin specified here serves as a protective zone, preventing visual clutter and allowing our logo to breathe.

Our logo should always have our icon to the left and adequate clear space at all times regardless of the logo variation that’s used.

When using the Santanna Energy Services logo, this mark should always be placed at the far corners of your materials. In special cases, this mark can be placed in the upper and lower middle margins.

Logo Variations

Secondary Logos and Santanna Symbol

The use of secondary logos serves as a dynamic expression of our identity. These secondary logos are designed to complement our primary logo in specific contexts, adding versatility to our visual representation. We encourage the use of secondary logos when the readability of the primary brand mark is compromised or in special use cases.

Employee-Owned Logo Variation

The employee-owned logo variation holds a special place in our brand identity, symbolizing the collective commitment and pride of our dedicated team. This distinctive variation is a testament to our unique status as an employee-owned company, embodying the spirit of collaboration and shared success. We encourage the use of the employee-owned logo in contexts that celebrate this factor.

Use Cases: Employee-owned PowerPoint presentations, internal communications, employee events, EO commity events and announcement material, recruitment and onboarding.

Text Simplified Logo Variation

SES-Simplified-Logo

Except for the SES website and social media, the simplified SES logo should be used in situations where the readability of text in the standard logo may be compromised due to size constraints or when the standard logo’s details or text elements may become indistinct. Specifically, this logo should be used when dimension requirements are 1-quarter inch or below or below 900 pixels.

Use Cases: Digital paid advertising, mobile applications, apparel with limited space, packaging labels, postcards, and door hangers. Be sure to connect with your manager if you are unsure of your application.

Santanna Energy Services Icon

SES-logo-icon

The company icon serves as a condensed symbol that encapsulates the essence of our brand, and it is particularly effective when a succinct, easily recognizable representation is required. Use the company icon in situations where brevity and instant brand association are paramount. This symbol should not be used when trying to connect with a new audience type where our brand might not be known.

Use Cases: Social media profiles where space is limited, PowerPoint presentations, event branding, and cross-platform consistency.

Design Elements

Best practices and key components

Design is at the core of our brand identity, shaping the visual language that defines Santanna. We recognize the pivotal role design plays in conveying our brand personality and values.

Santanna Highlight

This specialized highlight is crafted to enhance the visual impact of important text across platforms, ensuring that crucial information stands out in a consistent and eye-catching manner. The Santanna Highlight is reserved for specific instances where emphasis is paramount, adding a touch of dynamism to our messaging.

Do not use this highlight if:

  • Your dimension requirements are 1-quarter inch or below or below 900 pixels.
  • You’re using white text against a dark background.
  • The highlight will skew the readability of your text.
  • Your design incorporates intricate details that may be compromised by the addition of the highlight.
  • The content involves sensitive or formal topics where the use of a highlight may be deemed inappropriate or distracting.

Santanna Cutouts

Person cutouts serve as a distinctive and humanizing design element within our brand, adding a personal touch to visual communications. These cutouts are carefully selected to resonate with our diverse audience, reflecting inclusivity and relatability.

We encourage the creative use of person and action cutouts to convey a sense of connection and authenticity. Although we strongly encourage steering away from people who look generic and overly posed.

Do not use person cutouts in combination with illustrated people.

Organic Shapes

Organic shapes serve as a dynamic and fluid design element within our brand. Organic shapes should be used across all Santanna branded elements when you’re looking to invoke a sense of calm, trustworthiness, and adaptability.

We encourage the creative exploration of organic shapes to add a touch of uniqueness and fluidity to design projects. However, it is essential to maintain a balance, ensuring that the chosen shapes align with our established color palette and overall design ethos.

For more guidelines on these organic elements, visit the illustrations section.

Illustrations

Vector art and best practices

Illustrations stand as captivating storytelling elements within our brand, adding a distinctive and artistic flair to visual communications. We encourage the thoughtful integration of illustrations to convey a sense of home life, comfort, relaxation, and fun. Illustrations should align with our brand’s personality and values, capturing the essence of our customer-centric approach to take care of our customers so they can enjoy what’s important in life without worrying about their energy needs or environmental impact.

Each vector illustration chosen for Santanna-branded projects should be designed with soft and open backgrounds. People within these illustrations should appear happy, relaxed, and at ease, wearing casual Santanna-colored clothing and engaging in non-stressful and favorable activities at all times.

It is crucial to note that these vector images are best suited for value-centered content, where they can effectively convey the brand’s personality and drive emotion and mood. However, aside from vector backgrounds and icons, and the website, we recommend refraining from incorporating these illustrations too heavily within product positioning content. We believe showcasing real people for our services not only adds a human touch but also enhances the relateability and authenticity of our brand.

The collection of similar illustrated images can be accessed through icon scout. For custom illustration requests, contact the growth marketing team.
