At Santanna Energy Services, we believe everyone should do their part toward a better tomorrow. We’ve partnered with One Tree Planted to support reforestation efforts, and we couldn’t be prouder!
Why “One Tree Planted?”
One Tree Planted works with partners across 80+ countries in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific. They have planted over 100 million trees since 2014. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and knowledgeable experts to create an impact for nature, people, and wildlife.

Through this partnership, Santanna has already funded the planting of 5,000 trees and is looking forward to planting more with each Earth-Friendly electricity and natural gas plan purchased.*
Why is Reforestation So Important?
Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods, provides jobs for social impact, and restores biodiversity. In the same way, trees can help weaken climate change, improve air quality, and protect soil erosion.
Trees act as natural carbon sinks, absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. In the same way, according to One Tree Planted, trees help cool the planet by sucking in and storing harmful greenhouse gases in their trunks, branches, and leaves! Once they’ve absorbed these gases, trees release oxygen. It’s known that a mature tree can absorb an average of 22 lbs of carbon dioxide per year! Reforestation is essential not only for combating climate change but also for preserving ecosystems, protecting wildlife, and ensuring a healthier planet for current and future generations.
