Starting from humble beginnings in a two-car garage in 1954, Kitchen Kettle Village has grown into a charming destination. Originally founded by a local couple making and selling homemade jellies and jams, it has since expanded into a vibrant village featuring over 40 unique shops, restaurants, and activities. 

Locals love this charming town because of its dedication to preserving rich traditions. To this day, this unique town still sells jarred jams and everything that originally drew in locals from its beginnings. One of the best draws of this village is the Inn at Kitchen Kettle Village. This lovely inn allows guests to stay directly in all the action of the village itself. 

Where is the Kitchen Kettle Village? 

Sitting in the center of Lancaster County, the Kitchen Kettle Village is located in the city of Intercourse, PA. This picturesque village is nestled amidst the rolling farmlands of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, offering visitors a perfect blend of scenic beauty and local charm.

Kitchen Kettle Village hours do vary from season to season and by shop. At the time of this article, the hours are: 

January 1-February 29: Hours vary by shop 

March 1-April 30: 9:00am-5:00pm 

May 1-December 31: Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am-6:00pm 

The Kitchen Kettle Village is open from March – December, Monday – Saturday while the hours and days for early winter months will depend on which shops you’re looking to visit. Pappy’s Kettle Korn: Selling homemade kettle corn made from the finest ingredients available, Pappy’s offers samples of their fresh-made kettle corn. As a bonus, Pappy’s also offers cinnamon-roasted almonds! 

The Jam and Relish Kitchen: Doubling as a restaurant and a tasting shop, this place cooks up homemade Pennsylvania Dutch sweets like jelly, jam and butter, fresh baked goods like pie and cookies, and delicious canned goods like relish, salsa, and pickles. Plus, you can enjoy free samples! 

Ages and Cured: Browse a large selection of meats and cheeses, locally made sourdough pretzels, beef jerky and hot sauces. Ages and Cured offers over 50 cheeses to select and special cheese stretching demonstrations!
